d) What is the Natural Cycle of Nitrogen?
What is the Nitrogen Cycle?
It is an important cycle in the biosphere. 80% of air in the atmosphere is made out of nitrogen. Most plants get the nitrogen they need from soil. Many farmers use fertilisers to add nitrogen to the soil to help plants grow. Both nitrogen fertilisers and forest fires add huge amounts of nitrogen into the soil and nearby lakes/rivers. Water full of nitrogen causes plants to grow fast and then they all die at once when there are too many for the environment for them to support.
